A K Dolven’s paintings have to be experienced physically and cannot be reproduced faithfully on screen.

Like her films, Dolven’s paintings seem to be characterized by a dichotomy of ethereal beauty on the one hand and an underlying sense of silent terror on the other. Their whiteness is numinous, transcendental light, but also inspires a fear of void, of nothingness. (Andrea Schlieker)

can women think borrows its title from Kan Kvinnor tënka?, a book about female thinkers and philosophers by Tuva Korsström, where she brings more or less invisible women in our history of philosophy into light.
