Natural light at midnight in August. 68.2 degrees north above the arctic in Lofoten, Norway. The image is facing north, you see the horizon where the sun is reaching it’s deepest point at midnight in the arctic summer. Greenland is the next mainland going north from Lofoten. The camera is placed behind the artist’s head and she performs on her own in front of the camera by observing the movement on a small field monitor. The work is digital video with sound in one take. The video is editted in reverse and slightly slowed making the sound of the sea and the birds surreal.
