Cry Baby Pedal, rubber cables, two speakers, sound file;
Le Internationale sung in Norwegian by seven young people, Oslo October 2011

 Two speakers, black rubber cables and a cry baby pedal is placed in a corner. This sound installation is mute. Only by stepping on the pedal the viewer activates the sound. When stepping off the pedal it is mute again. The sound file continues so one randomly comes back into the song. We hear the worlds most translated hymn, L'Internationale from 1871 – here sung by seven young Norwegians in their own language. The hymn belongs today to socialist movements world wide and has been sung widely in 2011, among other places on the island Utøya in Norway.
